There are actually currently no legal official regulations for any specific qualifications or licensing, the main criteria for offering laser comes from insurers (since there are currently no official regulations or council licensing guidelines) insurers typically require; level 3 anatomy and physiology, core of knowledge and a laser appropriate certification and training.
Yes, something may come into place at some point in the future, which may be similar to licensing for tattooing/PMU etc – However we teach you all the safety regulations that are based on what insurers advise, so that you’d have alot of it already in place if this did happen.
There may be a requirement for a specific certification with a particular awarding body i.e VTCT
Our LPA (laser protection advisor) advises us that he thinks the laser industry won’t be changing until atleast 2030 as everything is focused on the aesthetics world currently. so we don’t feel it’s appropriate to be selling something that isn’t certain to be needed at this point in time, especially when the cost of level 4&5 VTCT is £3500 alone without a machine or practical training.
IF the time comes when it is set in stone as a requirement then we will change our training to align with the regulations and offer our students support so that they are also compliant. More than likely if any strict policies came into place in a couple of years, you’d be able to continue based on ‘grandfather rights’ which is your experience in the treatment at that point and/or possibly upgrade your certificate to something like a level 5 at that time, if its made a requirement
We include an extensive Online level 3 Anatomy & Physiology certification that you can complete before the course. It’s nothing too difficult so dont worry. We also send our core of knowledge and training manuals beforehand and for you to refer back to after your practical training.
I’m sure you’ve found when researching that laser machines/courses vary wildly in cost, with alot of it depending on how many treatments the machine offers, but a main factor is the brand of the machine – as they also hugely mark up the cost to make profits of course

We include a fully UK FDA/CE certified Dual arm Picosecond ND YAG laser machine and 3 wavelength (808nm, 1064nm, 755nm) Diode Laser machine, these 3 wavelengths target fine, coarse and average hair types, as opposed to general hair removal machines that only target average 808nm. Weighing 38kg, your machine comes with laser safety glasses and 4 laser heads 1064nm, 532nm, 1320nm & 755nm.

Laser Tattoo & Hair Removal are level 4 certifications, it is a pre-requisite to be level 3 certified. If you have any other certifications within the industry e.g PMU Artist, Tattoo Artist, Aesthetics then you can attend this course. If you are a complete beginner, you can complete our online Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology course prior to the training and this will enable you to be certified in Level 4 Laser Tattoo & Hair Removal.
