Honest answers to the questions we hear most often
Which hair loss treatment is most permanent?
Scalp Micropigmentation offers the most long-lasting results. Pigment sits in the upper layers of the dermis and typically holds well for several years before a touch-up may be needed. It doesn't reverse hair loss, but it permanently changes how it looks. PRP results, by contrast, require maintenance sessions to sustain.
Can I combine treatments — for example SMP and PRP together?
Yes, and it's actually a combination we recommend for clients with thinning hair who still have active follicles. PRP can stimulate regrowth and improve scalp health, while SMP creates the appearance of density in the meantime. We'll advise on the right sequencing during your consultation.
How do I know if I'm suitable for SMP?
Most people experiencing any stage of hair loss are suitable for SMP. The main exceptions are active scalp infections or conditions, certain medications that affect healing, and some medical conditions. Alex will give you an honest suitability assessment during your free consultation — if it's not right for you, he'll tell you.
How much do hair loss treatments cost?
SMP starts from £1,250 for a receding hairline and from £1,550 for full head coverage. Scar camouflage starts from £150 per scar. PRP is £250 per session (4 sessions recommended). Full pricing is on our pricing page, and all treatments include a free consultation.
Do you treat women as well as men?
Yes. Around 10% of our SMP clients are women, and Dawn's PRP treatments are equally popular with female clients. How far do clients travel to visit the clinic?
